Author Uniquely Devoted to Child Stress-Management Releases Two New Hardcover Books

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 18, 2007 -- LiteBooks.net has released two hardcover titles that integrate relaxation techniques into enjoyable children's stories in time for the stresses of a new school year.

'The Goodnight Caterpillar: A Children's Relaxation Story' and 'A Boy and a Turtle: A Children's Relaxation Story', written by noted author and LiteBooks.net founder Lori Lite, reflect her devotion to helping children deal with stress and anxiety. "Helping children relax is something that is important any time. We were fortunate to launch these new titles at the start of a new school year which can add even more stress," Lite said.

Lite began creating stories to help her own children relax and sleep more peacefully - one who was hyperactive, another who experienced night terrors. Her own experiences sent her searching for techniques that parents and children could utilize in everyday life.

"The stories worked so well on my children, it seemed natural to help others," she said. "As I learned more, I adopted proven techniques into my books, and the response was such that this turned into a full time job."

In 'The Goodnight Caterpillar', a caterpillar is "all in knots," worried about building his cocoon by sundown. He meets a little girl who teaches him how to lower his anxiety through muscular relaxation, a traditional relaxation technique. In 'A Boy and a Turtle', the boy and his new friend breathe deeply and experience the soothing imagery of a rainbow and touch of water together. Lite has two other books in print, 'A Boy and a Bear: The Children's Relaxation Book', focusing on deep breathing, and 'The Affirmation Web: A Believe in Yourself Adventure', designed to increase self-esteem. In addition to the new releases, Lite is working on four more children's titles.

Lite said she discovered early on that she was a pioneer in this type of experiential storytelling. Lite, a native New Yorker, was deeply concerned about the traumatic impact 9/11 had on the children of New York. "I assumed there were other authors devoted to stress-management in children, particularly after 9/11. Surprisingly, there was little out there," she said. LiteBooks.net started growing and the author convinced husband Rick to quit his job and partner with her. "It was an easy decision, business opportunities that uniquely help children don't come along very often," said Rick Lite who is responsible for operations and marketing.

Lori Lite has been interviewed and written articles for numerous media outlets including ABC Radio, CBS News, Prevention Magazine, USA Today, Web MD, Stress Free Living, Mind, Body and Soul, and Evolve Magazine. She has also been featured in publications such as Parents Guide New York, and Atlanta Parent. In addition to her books, Lite has created relaxation CDs and curriculums; her Indigo Dreams audio book/CD series being awarded the CNE Award of Excellence.

Lite's growing fan base includes not only parents, but psychologists, therapists, child life specialists, educators and yoga instructors. LiteBooks.net has become a leading source for child stress-management which can help children fall asleep more peacefully, deal with anger, have higher school attendance, higher test scores and fewer illnesses. Marilyn Powers, Ph.D., Vice President, The I AM Foundation says of Lori Lite's books, "They are amazingly supportive in helping children cope with the demands of school, home and their peers. These books empower children to feel strong and capable of dealing with whatever challenges confront them. We need more books in the world like Lori's to support children from the inside out."

Creative Visualization And The Law Of Attraction
You may have heard of creative visualization from interviews with athletes who have used this powerful technique to win more gold medals and titles than perhaps any other single training method. By actually sensing, feeling and being in a perfect race or competition within their own heads, professional and amateur athletes are able to use these mental images to help them prepare for the actual race. What you may not realize is that the technique is essentially the very same as the Law of Attraction as popularised in the film and book, The Secret.
