Hurricane Law Emerging as Hot New Practice Area for Lawyers
Pensacola, FL (PRWEB) June 27, 2006 -- Attorney Samuel W. Bearman, based in Pensacola, Florida, spoke to the members of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers (AFTL) on June 8, 2006 at their annual convention in Hollywood, Florida.
Bearman’s lecture, “Responding to an Unwelcome Visitor: Hurricane Claims Under the ‘Old Law’ and the ‘New Law’” is one of the many lectures he has given to lawyers (and laymen) nationally on the laws and procedures related to filing a hurricane claim.
Bearman, says, “With this area of law emerging as a popular one, particularly after the increased hurricane activity in the last few years, there’s great demand for hurricane law education. Bar associations, law schools, lawyer groups and CLE companies now want some sort of hurricane law update.”
“I’m fortunate to be frequently called on to speak on these issues,” Bearman adds.
Bearman, who has personally handled over 150 hurricane cases, represents home owners, business owners, condo owners and boat owners related to hurricane damage claims. He has spoken to various lawyer associations and CLE groups, and has written, “Hurricane Insurance Claims” which was published in the AFTL Journal. Bearman has also been quoted in various television, radio and newspaper media on hurricane law issues.
